The basilisk is incredibly feared. It can kill with it's venom or it's evil stare. So, never look the basilisk in the eye...or you will see your own death. The basilisk can be killed though....if you can reflect it's deadly stare back onto the snake with the polished surface or....bring in a weasel...who is the archenemy of the basilisk....
